FAQ

Have questions about ESTEAM Learning Labs programs, camps, or registration? You’re in the right place! Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions from parents just like you. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, feel free to contact us or book a call with our team.

Q: What ages are your camps for?
Our camps are designed for children ages 5 to 16, with specific camps tailored by age group. Each camp description lists the appropriate age range.

Q: What are the camp hours?
Most full-day camps run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Drop-off begins at 8:45 AM, and pick-up ends at 4:15 PM. Please check your registration confirmation for any location-specific details.

Q: What should my child bring to camp?
Campers should bring a nut-free lunch, water bottle, and snacks each day. We recommend dressing comfortably with closed-toe shoes for active play. Some camps may have supply lists, which you’ll receive after registration.

Q: How do I register for camp?
You can register directly through our website. Camps held at partner sites like RRISD, LTISD, or the JCC must be booked through their platforms (we provide direct links).

Q: What is the Summer Fun Package and how does it work?
The Summer Fun Package allows families to purchase multiple weeks of camp at a discounted rate. After selecting your package, you choose your specific camps and checkout using the Invoice option. Our team will then match your selections to your package.

Q: Where can I use the Summer Fun Package?
The Summer Fun Package is valid only at these ESTEAM partner sites:

  • Apollo Academy (Tampa, FL)
  • ESTEAM Academy (Round Rock, TX)
  • Southwestern University (Georgetown, TX)

Q: What if I want to register for a camp hosted by RRISD or another district?
You’ll need to register directly with that organization. We partner with RRISD, Lake Travis ISD, Round Rock Parks & Rec, and JCC Austin—but they manage their own registration.

Q: Who are your instructors?
Our instructors—called Guides—are highly trained in ESTEAM’s Socratic, hands-on learning model. All staff are background-checked, CPR/First Aid certified, and trained through our in-depth orientation program.

Q: What is the Peace Table?
The Peace Table is a conflict-resolution space used to help students reflect, self-regulate, and respectfully resolve differences. It’s part of our commitment to nurturing social-emotional growth in a positive environment.

Q: What safety measures are in place?
All locations follow strict safety protocols including secure check-in/check-out, first aid readiness, and emergency contact systems. Every camp has a stocked first aid kit and trained staff onsite.

Q: What types of camps do you offer?
We offer over 25 camp themes across Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math—including robotics, filmmaking, board game design, forensics, and more. Visit our Camp Descriptions page for the full list.

Q: Are your camps inclusive?
Yes! We strive to create an inclusive and welcoming environment for all learners. If your child has specific needs, let us know—our team is happy to work with you.

Q: Can siblings be in the same group?
Let us know your request at registration and we’ll try to accommodate.
