Scene Assignments

Hello Actors! Welcome to our Acting 101 Summer Camp! Yesterday we learned about different emotions and how we display them in our acting. Today we will be assigned scenes by the teacher and given simple character sheets.

What to expect on Zoom: Every day we will work on scenes and techniques that we will perform during our last class together. Today we will receive our Scene Assignments and begin working on them. After reading through the scenes, we’ll take a closer look at our characters and talk about how to apply the techniques we have been working on to these scenes.

Objectives:

  • What scenes we will be working on together.
  • What characters you play in these scenes.
  • How to use our techniques (voice, body, and emotions) to portray the characters in our scenes.

Today’s Challenge

Students can fill out the character sheet that I provide with fun information about their characters in the scenes. If you don’t know an answer, make it up! Sending in your completed character sheet earns 10 points.

Preparing for Tomorrow

We hope you had a great day! Here’s a sneak peak of what we will be learning tomorrow: We will work on “blocking” our scenes, or figuring out the movement.
