Teen Filmmaking
This Pathfinders-only experience is built for teens who want real production practice. Students take a film from concept to final cut by learning core set roles, shooting techniques, and post-production workflows—then screening their work in a final premiere.
- Develop a concept with story structure, shot planning, and a production checklist
- Work set roles (director, camera, sound, producer, editor) with clear responsibilities
- Film with intention using framing, camera movement, lighting choices, and continuity
- Capture clean audio and learn why sound is often the difference between “good” and “great”
- Edit + finish with pacing, titles, music, and simple color and audio cleanup
- Set Roles + Real Production Workflow
- Filming Days + Editing Days

Don’t see a location near you? We can customize a program to fit your schedule and your learners. Choose a full 5-day camp (9am–4pm), a one-day camp, a 3-hour workshop, an after-school series, or a free Maker event.
We believe kids learn best when they can explore at their own pace. Campers work in teams, and our instructors guide each group based on readiness—so no one is overwhelmed, everyone is challenged, and no one is bored.
